I took a little drive, mostly just to get out of the house. I brought my camera with me, but wasn’t inspired to get out and shoot anything… maybe later today, something in the house. I drove by The Call, but I remember that they’re weekend crew is sort of small… weird, considering Sunday is the big day for most papers. Sometime in the week, I’ll probably stop by. Basically, I just drove in circles, thinking about why I didn’t go out last night and wondering where I should go, how far I should stray from home, when I should head back, whether I should stop anywhere. Wondering, wandering, getting hungry…
After passing it by once, I decided that Tim Horton’s would be an appropriate stop for this trip… food and the cold drink I would get by default at any other restaurant just didn’t seem right with the weather being as chilly as it is. Of course, our local Tim Horton’s isn’t nearly as cool as the one whose sign I have displayed here… we don’t even have a drive-thru. It’s just sort of shoved into the corner of a Shell gas station. That’s perfectly alright, though, as long as they continue to have superior coffee to the Dunkin Donuts down the street… and even the Starbucks a couple doors down from that. Even the Starbucks has a drive-thru, but that doesn’t tempt me. I know I’ll get better coffee at Tim’s.
Now my plan is to listen to some of the music I downloaded yesterday for a little while and then sit and watch hours of mindless television. Today has really not been any more productive than yesterday and probably won’t be. I’ve got a few afternoons in a row with work this week, so I’ll be doing plenty of getting out of the house and stuff, then.
